Yoon Approval Rating 32.3%... 14th Week in the Low 30% Range
President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration increased for the first time in three weeks. The People Power Party's approval rating also rose, while the Democratic Party's approval rating declined.
According to a public opinion poll released on the 15th by Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 8th to the 12th, targeting 2,502 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline using an automated response method), President Yoon's approval rating rose by 1.2 percentage points compared to last week's regular survey, reaching 32.3%. Although the approval rating increased for the first time in three weeks, President Yoon's approval rating has remained in the low 30% range for 14 consecutive weeks since the general election. The disapproval rating fell by 1.5 percentage points to 63.8%.
Notable increases in approval ratings were seen among those aged 60 and over (up 5.3 percentage points, from 38.4% to 43.7%), conservatives in ideological orientation (up 4.4 percentage points, from 52.0% to 56.4%), and those in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (up 9.0 percentage points, from 35.1% to 44.1%).
Regarding party support (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 11th to the 12th, targeting 1,001 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline using an automated response method), the People Power Party's support rose by 2.0 percentage points to 38.0%. The Democratic Party's support dropped by 3.2 percentage points to 35.0%. The Innovation Party received 10.6%, and the Reform Party 4.3%.
For the People Power Party, support increased by 7.9 percentage points in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong regions (from 32.3% to 40.2%), while the Democratic Party's support declined by 7.5 percentage points in Incheon and Gyeonggi (from 47.2% to 39.7%) and by 7.1 percentage points in Gwangju and Jeolla (from 53.9% to 46.8%).
