After paying respects at the cemetery, Governor Kim posted on his social media, stating, "The first anniversary of Chaesang-byeong's death in the line of duty is approaching," and pointed out, "It has been a year where everything was at a standstill."
He continued, "Nothing has been revealed, and no one has apologized or taken responsibility," adding, "I firmly vowed in front of the grave of a twenty-year-old young marine to uncover the truth and create a safe society where such incidents never happen again."
Furthermore, he said, "I also paid respects at the graves of the 46 Cheonan ship heroes, Lieutenant Han Joo-ho, and the fallen soldiers of the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong and the Yeonpyeong Island shelling," adding, "I felt ashamed before the heroes who died protecting our seas."
