Yangsan City, Cooperative Operations Council, and NH Nonghyup Yangsan Branch Sign MOU to Promote Hometown Love Donation Program
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam signed a business agreement on the 11th with the Yangsan City Cooperative Management Council (Chairman Ahn Yongwoo) and the Yangsan City Branch of Nonghyup (Branch Manager Kim Wonmook) to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program in Yangsan.
The Hometown Love Donation Program was introduced to foster a healthy donation culture towards one's hometown, revitalize the local economy, and contribute to balanced regional development. Under this program, individuals who donate to a local government other than their registered address receive tax benefits and a return gift worth up to 30% of the donation amount. The collected donations will be used to support socially vulnerable groups, foster and protect youth, revitalize local communities, and for other purposes necessary for the welfare and development of local residents.
On this day, Yangsan City, the Yangsan City Cooperative Management Council, and the Yangsan City Branch of Nonghyup agreed through the business agreement to establish a mutual cooperation system to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program and to discover a variety of local agricultural and livestock products to help vitalize the local economy.
Kim Wonmook, Branch Manager of Nonghyup Yangsan City Branch, said, "Nonghyup will actively carry out promotional activities together with Yangsan City to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program and will do our best to discover a variety of agricultural and livestock return gifts."
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "Through the business agreement with the Yangsan City Cooperative Management Council and Nonghyup Yangsan City Branch, we will cooperate to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation Program. I hope we will continue to work together and show sustained interest in the return gifts of agricultural and livestock products produced in our region."
