Gijang-gun Launches 1:1 Personalized Career and College Consulting... High Response from Test Takers
Jongno Academy Customized Career and College Consulting Linked Program
Three Sessions per Person, Operated in Eight Rounds, Third Round Begins on the 10th
Gijang-gun, Busan, has officially launched the third round of its ‘1:1 Customized Career and College Admission Consulting Support Project’ starting from July 10.
The ‘1:1 Customized Career and College Admission Consulting Support Project’ was initiated as part of the 8th popularly elected governor’s pledge to establish a Talent Development Center and operate youth programs.
This project is being implemented prior to the opening of the Talent Development Center (scheduled for completion in September 2025, located within Ilgwang Education Happy Town).
In response to the rapidly changing and increasingly complex college admission process, the project provides local students with personalized consulting tailored to their individual grades and aptitudes, supporting their successful advancement to higher education and career paths.
The county, in partnership with the admissions-specialized educational institution Jongro Academy, is offering systematic analysis and a variety of programs for college applicants, including 1:1 customized consulting, college admission interview consulting, operation of an admissions cafe, information sessions and meetings, and other admissions-related programs.
The consulting is available both online and offline, and students can choose their preferred method. The consulting themes are set according to the period, with student record consulting and admissions strategy consulting being conducted from the 1st to the 8th round. The third round of consulting is currently underway (July 10 to August 3).
Offline consulting is available at the Jeonggwan Admissions Cafe (Wednesday to Saturday) located in the Jeonggwan CGV building, and at Honguijae on the 9th floor of Gijang County Office (Wednesday and Saturday). Prior materials such as report cards and student records are collected and analyzed in advance, and each session lasts for one hour. Each student can receive consulting up to three times per year, and the service is free of charge.
The county also plans to hold a parent class in October and an admissions information session in December regarding changes to the 2028 college admissions system, aiming to address questions about admissions and provide a wealth of information.
County Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, “Gijang-gun is known as a city with a strong passion for education and many outstanding students, but due to its geographical location on the outskirts of Busan, there is a gap in access to various admissions and educational information, which causes concern among parents. We will actively support local students’ successful advancement by providing not only diverse admissions information but also systematic analysis and consulting on career and college admissions.”
