Boryeong, Call for Entries for the 20th Boryeong Medical Essay Literary Award
Boryeong announced on the 11th that it is accepting submissions for the 20th Boryeong Doctor's Essay Literary Award.

The Boryeong Doctor's Essay Literary Award was established in 2005 by the Korea Essay Literature Promotion Association and Boryeong to widely promote the value of medical benevolence (仁術) through warm and vivid writings by doctors based on their experiences in medical fields. Over the past 19 years, it has produced 160 awardees. Any doctor with South Korean nationality can apply regardless of their area of practice, domestic or abroad. The manuscript should be approximately 20 pages of 200-character manuscript paper (about 2.5 to 3 pages of A4 paper), and the topic is free. Submissions are accepted until September 30.
Submitted works will go through preliminary and final evaluations by the Korea Essay Literature Promotion Association, and a total of 9 works will be selected as winners. In November, winners will be announced on the Boryeong website, including one Grand Prize winner, one Gold Prize winner, two Silver Prize winners, and five Bronze Prize winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive a prize of 10 million KRW and a special opportunity to debut as a writer through the essay magazine 'Essay Literature.' The Gold Prize winner will receive 5 million KRW, Silver Prize winners 3 million KRW each, and Bronze Prize winners 1 million KRW each.
