The 139,468 Kia Sorento vehicles will begin recall procedures starting from the 15th. This is due to a high risk of fire caused by insufficient durability of the electronic hydraulic control unit (HECU).
An official from the Ministry explained, "This model has been sold more widely compared to other models, so the recall volume is relatively large. Other models are foreign-made cars, and Hyundai Motor's recall volume also includes buses. The transaction volume itself was less than that of the Sorento."
Eight models including the Nissan Q50 2.2d, totaling 8,802 vehicles, will undergo recall starting from the 17th due to the possibility of power transmission failure. This is caused by manufacturing defects in the propeller shaft, which is a power transmission device that delivers engine power to the rear differential gear of the vehicle.
Two models including the Hyundai Elec City, totaling 2,887 vehicles, were recalled starting from the 10th due to the possibility of the vehicle stopping. This is caused by insufficient durability of the insulator, which connects and secures the vehicle body and the drive motor while reducing motor vibrations. Additionally, 2,782 GV70 vehicles will undergo recall starting from the 18th due to manufacturing defects in the engine ignition device connection bolts.
Seventeen models including the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, totaling 2,054 vehicles, will begin recall procedures from the 17th due to a safety standard issue where the lane-keeping function fails to provide visual signals to the driver during operation.
Three models including the Toyota Prius 2WD, totaling 737 vehicles, will be recalled starting from the 11th due to the possibility of the rear door opening while driving. This is caused by manufacturing defects in the rear door exterior handle.
