Without consulting his wife, he stated in the video description, "I hope many subscribe, and I will post proof of donations." As the video gained attention, the channel's subscribers exploded from just 38 at the time of posting to over 10,000 by the 10th. To fulfill his pledge, Choi now faces the need to donate more than 10 million won.
As the situation showed signs of spiraling out of control, Choi expressed his surprise on the YouTube community on the 8th, saying, "I didn't expect things to get this big." He said he would tally the subscriber count until 11:59 PM on the 10th, one week after posting the video, and requested help, stating, "If it gets too far from my salary, it will be difficult to handle alone." Choi also created shorts videos depicting his difficult situation, including one where he drew dark circles under his eyes and portrayed a homeless person squatting in front of Seoul Station, pleading, "My wife caught me. Please unsubscribe."

On the 10th, LG Electronics announced that it is reviewing support measures to ensure that Choi’s goodwill donation does not become a burden. An LG Electronics official said, "Once the donation scale is finalized, we will look for appropriate ways to use it," adding, "We are discussing the grounds for support and specific plans."
On the same day, Choi posted a shorts video bowing deeply with a message saying, "Thank you for 10,000 subscribers in one week." In the comments, he expressed gratitude to family, company, business partners, the Red Cross, and friends. Regarding the company, he said, "If you’re going to make a mistake, make a big one. Company executives have also contacted me a lot to help ensure this does not become a personal burden."
