Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will hold a college admission information fair for the 2025 academic year on July 13 at 1 p.m. in the main auditorium of Geumcheon-gu Office.

The fair was organized to support one-on-one consultations with admission officers from major universities for students and parents preparing for early admission.

The participating universities providing early admission strategies include 17 universities: Gachon University, Kyonggi University, Kwangwoon University, National University of Incheon, Kookmin University, Dankook University, Myongji University, Sangmyung University, University of Seoul, Sungkyunkwan University, Sungshin Women’s University, Sejong University, Soongsil University, Ajou University, Inha University, Hanyang University, and Hongik University.

The fair will be held in two sessions, each lasting two hours. The first session is for students and parents of Geumcheon-gu, and the second session is open to students and parents from other regions.

One-on-one consultations with university admission officers and counseling by career guidance teachers from four local high schools will be provided.

During the one-on-one consultations with admission officers, early admission strategies will be offered based on analysis of each university’s previous year’s competition rates, admission results, and enrollment rates. Students can obtain information from various universities at the fair, helping them choose the university and department that best suit them.

Over the past three years, the early admission fairs held by the district have attracted 50 universities and conducted over 1,100 counseling sessions.

Students and parents wishing to participate in the early admission fair can apply through the banner on the Geumcheon-gu Office or Geumcheon Career and Admission Support Center websites or via Google Forms.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I hope this early admission fair will be a great help to students and parents who find it difficult to obtain tailored information for early admission preparation,” and added, “Going forward, our district will continue to provide customized college admission support strategies centered on the Geumcheon Career and Admission Support Center.”

Meanwhile, the district plans to open a Career and Admission Support Center in Doksan-dong this September, which, together with the existing center in Siheung-dong, will provide more advanced and specialized career counseling and admission consulting services.
