BMC plans to strengthen comprehensive inspections of major sites and field-specific monitoring of management facilities to prevent safety accidents and ensure quality control at construction sites in preparation for heavy rainfall.
In particular, when weather advisories such as heavy rain warnings are issued, the corporation will implement disaster response duties and has already established a Safety Management Platform (SMP) that enables real-time monitoring of heavy rain situations and damage occurrences within project sites and management facilities.
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, said, "We will strengthen proactive preventive inspections to prepare for heavy rainfall during the full-scale rainy season to prevent accidents and disasters, and we will thoroughly prepare so that real-time situation management and immediate initial response to detected risk signs can be achieved using the smart safety management platform."
