Foundation Laid for Achieving Top Grade in Overall Integrity
Last Year, Civil Complaints 'Integrity Perception' Achieved Grade 1
Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) recently announced on the 8th that it held an 'Integrity Seonbi Culture Experience Education' program in the Sancheong County area of Gyeongnam.
This training was organized to enhance the effectiveness of integrity education and to spread a culture of integrity within the public sector.
The program targeted employees working in corruption-prone areas such as permit and subsidy support departments, as well as staff interested in integrity. It was conducted in two sessions from the 20th to the 21st and from the 27th to the 28th of last month.
Participants engaged in various integrity programs, including ▲ traditional Seonbi culture experiences ▲ integrity lectures and creating integrity slogans. They also visited major historical sites related to Nammyeong Jo Sik, such as ▲ Sanchunjae ▲ Nammyeong Memorial Hall ▲ the tomb of Nammyeong, to redefine the ideal image of a public servant.
Governor Jung Jongbok of Gijang County visited the training site in Sancheong County in person to encourage the staff and urged all employees to participate in fostering an organizational culture of integrity.
Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "The trust of residents in county administration begins with a high level of organizational integrity," and added, "We will boldly eliminate outdated practices and preemptively block corruption factors to lead a transparent administration."
According to a survey result announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission at the end of December last year, Gijang County received a comprehensive integrity rating of Grade 2, an improvement by one grade from Grade 3 in the previous year.

An official from the county reported that in the 'perceived integrity' assessment, which measures the perception of both civil petitioners and internal staff, Gijang County achieved a Grade 1, showing that strong anti-corruption measures are yielding results.
