The 2nd World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention, Held from the 9th to 11th
The "2nd World Korean Scientists and Engineers Convention" (hereinafter referred to as HanGwaDae), a gathering that invites Korean scientists and engineers from around the world to build networks with domestic scientists and engineers and share research achievements, will be held from the 9th to the 11th.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies and the Association of Overseas Korean Scientists and Engineers, this convention will be held under the theme "Sustainable Future, Challenges and Roles of Science and Technology," with about 2,000 Korean scientists and engineers from home and abroad participating to discuss and debate the future directions of scientific and technological innovation.
This event will feature prominent scientists and engineers shining on the global stage, including Willie E. May, president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); Nicolas Peter, president of the International Space University (ISU); Lee Je-hyung, CEO of Stratio, who developed and launched the world's first compatible shortwave infrared camera sensor using germanium; and Lee Pyung-se, professor at Harvard Medical School, who first discovered the phenomenon of plasmon resonance energy transfer.
This year, the "1st Teheran Valley Science Festival" will also be held together, prepared as a festival space for the general public to communicate and engage.
