Youngjin College Sends 240 Students to the US, Japan, and Australia for Summer Overseas Technical Training
Participation in Language and Corporate Training Programs
Yeungjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung), which ranks first nationwide in overseas employment among all 2- and 4-year colleges in Korea, is accelerating its efforts to foster global talent by operating the largest-ever "Overseas Advanced Technology Training Group" during the summer vacation and other breaks since its founding.
The college announced on the 3rd that it held a launching ceremony for the "2024 Overseas Advanced Technology Training Group" at the on-campus International Seminar Room, and will dispatch over 240 students from 13 departments to the United States, Japan, Australia, and other countries.
This "Overseas Advanced Technology Training Group" consists of more than 240 students from 13 departments, including Computer Information, AI Convergence Machinery, Interior Design, Nursing, Companion Animal, Animal Health, Culinary and Baking, Business Accounting Services, Hotel Aviation Tourism, Early Childhood Education, Beauty Convergence, Broadcasting Video Media, and Cartoon Animation.
The training group will be dispatched to the United States, Japan, Australia, and other countries for periods ranging from as short as 4 days and 3 nights to as long as 19 days and 18 nights, participating in programs such as overseas language training, cultural experiences, and corporate internships tailored to each department's characteristics.
In addition, 12 students selected for the "2024 Global Field Training Program" will spend the entire second semester abroad, participating in local classes and on-site corporate internships.
The Computer Information department, which operates an overseas employment track, will send 42 third-year trainees participating in the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation's K-Move School and Cheonghaejin College programs to Tokyo, Japan, on the 9th. Until the 22nd of this month, they will undergo training in Japanese business manners, Japanese job interview skills, and corporate visits.
The AI Convergence Innovation College Project Group of this department will also send 32 second-year students to Japan in August to participate in a local semester program, including visits to local AI specialist companies and business Japanese language training.
The AI Convergence Machinery department will also send 10 second-year students participating in the K-Move School program to Japan this month for on-site corporate experience and technical training.
President Choi Jaeyoung said, "Through this Overseas Advanced Technology Training Group, I expect our students will be motivated for overseas employment and have a great opportunity to grow into talents with global competitiveness," adding, "Yeungjin College will continue to do its best to provide various programs so that our students can play active roles on the global stage."
Meanwhile, Yeungjin College, as a result of its early and dedicated efforts to nurture global talent, has ranked first nationwide in overseas employment among all 2- and 4-year colleges. According to the "2022 Graduate Employment Rate Statistics" announced in the 2024 Ministry of Education information disclosure, Yeungjin College achieved the highest overseas employment performance among all 2- and 4-year colleges nationwide by having 83 graduates employed at overseas companies, including those in Japan.
Including this achievement, the college has produced an overwhelming overseas employment record among domestic universities, sending a total of 632 students to various countries over the past six years (2017-2022), including 576 to Japan, 45 to Australia, and others to China, the United States, New Zealand, Singapore, and more.
