View original imagePark Hee-young, the mayor of Yongsan District in Seoul, will increase communication with young people by holding relay meetings with college students and young part-time workers during this summer vacation.
On the 2nd, Yongsan District announced that 39 'college student and youth part-time participants,' who started work on the 1st, will be divided into four groups and have lunch with Mayor Park in the district office cafeteria, holding meetings one group at a time.
Yongsan District is recruiting part-time workers so that college students and unemployed youth living in the area can directly experience district administration work and gain social experience during the summer. Starting this summer, the eligibility has been expanded from college students to youth aged 19 to 29.
They will work for 20 days until the 26th of this month, five days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., supporting fieldwork and administrative and welfare tasks at the district office, community service centers, health centers, and more. A total of 152 applicants applied for this part-time job, recording a competition rate of 4 to 1. Two Vietnamese international students were also included through an electronic public lottery.

At the orientation on the 1st, Mayor Park, who met the youth, said, "This is the first year we have expanded the part-time job eligibility from only college students to youth, so diversity has increased," and added, "If you have any ideas while working, please contribute to the development of Yongsan at any time."
