The training will take place over two weeks starting from the 1st, and the delegation consists of 19 members including public officials, farmers, and journalists from Ninh Binh Province in Vietnam, Asan City's sister city, specializing in rural development.
The training has been held annually since Asan City and Ninh Binh Province established their sister city relationship in 2015, but was suspended in 2020 due to COVID-19 and resumed last year.
Through this training, the city plans to provide theoretical education on crop cultivation such as rice, grapes, Korean melons, and greenhouse vegetables, along with on-site visits to farms, agricultural cooperatives' RPCs, and seedling companies for practical agricultural education.
Additionally, there will be field visits to agricultural institutions such as the Buyeo Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute, Geumsan Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Research Institute, and Seongju Korean Melon and Vegetable Research Institute, as well as tours of enterprises and local attractions including Yonsei Dairy Asan Factory, Environmental Science Park, Ginkgo Tree Road, and Oeam Folk Village.
