KB Securities Sponsors 'Baemin Vacation Lunchbox' for Children at Risk of Food Insecurity
KB Securities announced on the 2nd that it will sponsor the 'Baemin Vacation Lunchbox' for children at risk of food insecurity during the summer vacation period and will also conduct a donation campaign.
In March, KB Securities signed an agreement with Woowa Brothers and decided to support the Baedal Minjok Baemin Vacation Lunchbox project twice in 2024, during the summer and winter vacations.
The Baemin Vacation Lunchbox project targets children at risk of food insecurity who are economically vulnerable, such as those from dual-income or single-parent families, and who need social care. It provides four meals a week during vacation periods without school meals through lunchboxes and Baemin meal vouchers. Since 2020, the project has been jointly operated by the international relief and development NGO World Vision and Baedal Minjok.
This summer vacation, KB Securities plans to support the meals of a total of 1,000 children across eight regions nationwide. Especially this year, for students attending schools supported by the Baemin Vacation Lunchbox, KB Securities will provide a children's financial education program to instill proper economic concepts and gift cards for book purchases to prepare for the new semester.
