"I will listen to the voices of the residents and pursue an administration that truly reflects their wishes," said Jeong Jongbok, Governor of Gijang, on the occasion of his second anniversary in office.
On the 1st, without a separate commemorative event, Governor Jeong held the '2024 Second Half Staff Regular Meeting' at Chaseong Art Hall, where he reviewed the progress and achievements of his pledges over the past two years. He also took the time to share future administrative plans with the staff.

View original imageAt this event, Governor Jeong expressed his ambition to create a "city of happiness for all" by expanding cultural, sports, and tourism facilities to improve the quality of life for residents and to elevate the city into a premium cultural tourism destination.
He also emphasized the early completion of the Radiation Medical Science Convergence Cluster and, with pride in being Busan's only urban-rural complex city, the promotion of various projects to innovate the agricultural and fisheries industries, aiming to shape the city into a "future convergence city."
He pledged to realize a "sustainable communication city" by engaging with residents through initiatives such as the Resident Policy Demand Survey, Resident Petition System, and the Administrative Policy Advisory Committee. He also announced plans to complete a "city with convenient transportation in all directions" by accelerating the expansion of transportation infrastructure, including the early construction of the Urban Railway Jeonggwan Line and Gijang Line, and attracting a KTX-Eum stop.
