This is not the first time OpenAI has formed a strategic partnership with a media company. Last month, OpenAI signed a $250 million (approximately 340 billion KRW) content licensing agreement over five years with News Corporation (News Corp), the world's largest media group. News Corp owns major U.S. outlets such as The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the New York Post, the large U.S. publisher HarperCollins, the UK daily The Times, and Australia's Euro Broadcasting. Other content partners of OpenAI include U.S. political media outlet Politico, economic media Business Insider, AP News, Le Monde, and the Financial Times (FT). However, OpenAI is currently engaged in legal disputes with The New York Times (NYT) over copyright infringement issues.
