Chungnam Province Releases 720,000 Juvenile Flower Crabs
The Chungnam Provincial Fisheries Resources Research Institute announced on the 27th that it will release approximately 720,000 juvenile blue crabs along the coasts of six cities and counties, including Boryeong.
The blue crabs being released this time are juveniles about 1cm in size, and they are expected to grow to marketable size by next spring, which will help increase fishermen's income.
Since 2006 until last year, the institute has been releasing a total of 6.53 million blue crab seeds produced in-house free of charge.
