Lee Chungwon, a member of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council (People Power Party, Uiseong), announced on the 26th that he has received the 15th Excellent Legislative Activity Award presented by the Council of Chairs of Metropolitan and Provincial Councils of Korea.

View original imageLee Chungwon was recognized for his exemplary legislative activities for the development of agriculture and fisheries, serving as the chairperson of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts while a member of the 8th Uiseong County Council, as a member of the 12th North Gyeongsang Provincial Council's Agriculture and Fisheries Committee, and as the vice chairperson of the Special Committee for New Airport Relocation Support.
In particular, he proposed the 'Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Crops in Preparation for Climate Change in North Gyeongsang Province,' establishing proactive measures and responses by the province for the sustainable development of agriculture. He also proposed a partial amendment to the 'Ordinance on the Payment of Farmers and Fishermen Allowance in North Gyeongsang Province,' which stipulates the restriction period for fraudulent recipients, thereby enhancing the reliability of the allowance's execution.
Lee Chungwon expressed his feelings about receiving the award, saying, "It is an honor to receive such a great award at the halfway point of my four-year term," and added, "I will take this as encouragement to work even harder for the remainder of my term, doing my best to communicate with residents and resolve difficulties on the ground."
