Chungnam Province Makes All-Out Effort to Secure 11 Trillion Won in National Budget for Next Year
Government Budget Securing Department Reflection Report Meeting Held
Governor Kim Tae-heum: "Maximize Reflection in Ministry of Economy and Finance Review Process for Large-scale SOC Projects"
Chungnam Province is making every effort to secure 11 trillion won in national funds for next year.
On the 24th, the province held a report meeting on the reflection of government budget requests for 2025 by ministries.
The province set its government budget target for next year at 11 trillion won, which is 787 billion won more than this year's 10.213 trillion won.
To achieve this, it plans to strategically respond to large-scale SOC projects and actively discover new projects. Additionally, it will re-request projects not reflected in the ministry proposals and make recommendations to the Presidential Office and the National Assembly.
Governor Kim Tae-heum said, "Despite the difficult conditions such as the government's strong fiscal tightening and the completion of large-scale SOC projects in the province, 10.5672 trillion won in national funds was reflected in the ministry proposals, but it falls short of the 11 trillion won target."

He added, "To achieve next year's target, we will ensure that large-scale SOC projects not included in the ministry proposals are reflected as much as possible during the Ministry of Economy and Finance's review process, and we will also respond to prevent any cuts to projects included in the ministry proposals during the review process."
