Busan Women's Culture Center Recruiting Students for '2024 3rd Term Culture Class'
July 15 to September 28: 94 Courses Open for 1,958 Citizens Aged 18 and Over
Priority Registration Starts June 24, First-Come, First-Served via City Integrated Reservation System
The Busan Women's Culture Center will begin accepting applications for the '2024 3rd Term Culture Class' starting from June 24, aiming to provide citizens with a wide range of opportunities for professional skill development and quality of life improvement.
The 'Women's Culture Center Culture Class' is a lifelong education program that offers a place for learning tailored to the diverse cultural needs of citizens, based on an excellent team of instructors. This year's 3rd term will run for 10 weeks from July 15 to September 28.
A total of 1,958 students will be recruited for 94 courses across five fields: tradition, language, arts, cooking, and modern lifestyle.
This term's curriculum will include a variety of cultural and arts courses, qualification courses helpful for employment and entrepreneurship, and evening or weekend classes for working professionals, in addition to traditional subjects.
▲Cultural and arts courses include theater, Pungmulnori, Korean dance, and ukulele, while ▲qualification courses include Coffee Barista (Level 2) and computer certification, among others.
There are also ▲evening classes such as seasonal healthy cooking, harmonica, and bakery for office workers, as well as ▲weekend courses like travel English and French embroidery.
Notably, this 3rd term Culture Class has been revamped to reflect citizen demand, with the ▲reopening of Nail Art and evening Coffee Barista (Level 2) courses, and newly updated content for ▲Delicious Bread Making (beginner to intermediate), Hanji crafts, and practical crafts classes. ▲Additionally, for greater convenience, applications can be submitted on Saturdays during both the first general and additional recruitment periods.
Any Busan citizen aged 18 or older can apply for classes through the city's integrated reservation system. Digitally vulnerable groups unfamiliar with online procedures can apply at the online application support desk within the center.
Priority registration will be held from June 24 to 28. National merit recipients and their families, persons with severe disabilities and their caregivers, families with multiple children, basic livelihood security recipients, and single-parent support recipients may apply within 20% of the quota for each course.
The first round of general registration will be open from 9:00 AM on July 1 to 6:00 PM on July 6, and the second round from 9:00 AM on July 8 to 6:00 PM on July 13. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis online.
However, during the first round of general registration, the online application start times will vary by field.
If you have taken the same course for four consecutive previous terms, you will be restricted from applying for that course during the first round of general registration for this term.
The online application support desk operates within the center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. Please bring your ID and a payment method (such as a bankbook) when using the desk.
