Korea Forest Welfare Institute Receives 'A Grade' in Public Institution Management Evaluation
The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 20th that it received an A grade (Excellent) in the Ministry of Economy and Finance's '2023 Public Institution Management Evaluation.'
In the evaluation, the Forest Welfare Institute received high marks in management for financial soundness and operational efficiency, such as expanding the proportion of self-generated income through diversification of revenue sources and increasing sales, advancing job-based pay by increasing the proportion of job-centered compensation, and operating reasonable compensation and welfare systems that meet public expectations.
It was also recognized for achievements in major business areas, including providing customized forest healing services for infertile couples to address low birth rates, enhancing youth sensitivity to forest ecology through curriculum-linked forest education, and creating jobs and supporting employment for vulnerable groups through the establishment of forest welfare infrastructure.
