Honam University International Exchange Office Hosts Friendly Soccer Match for International Students
The Office of International Exchange at Honam University (Director Son Wani) organized a friendly soccer match on the artificial turf field of Honam University on the 14th, with participation from international students from China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia.
About 35 international students from various countries participated in the match, where the "China Team," composed of Chinese international students, and the "Beu Mong Team," consisting of Vietnamese, Uzbek, and Mongolian international students, formed teams to showcase a splendid global friendly exchange game.
The soccer club was formed in the second semester of 2023, mainly by Chinese international students, and through this "friendly exchange match," it has been reborn as a "Global Soccer Club."
Professor Ju Inyoung, the advisor of the international students' soccer club, participated in the match to encourage the students, and after the game, they gathered at the cafeteria in the Study Hall to discuss mutual exchange and future plans for the club's development.
Mongolian international student Gantulga said, "This was the first time I learned that our school has a soccer club, and I am happy to be able to regularly participate in training and matches." Additionally, Chinese international student Yan Fengxian expressed, "It was a great opportunity to interact not only with Chinese international students but also with students of various nationalities through the sport of soccer," and hoped, "I wish we could have matches often and strengthen our friendship."

Meanwhile, Honam University's international student clubs include not only soccer but also basketball, badminton, and dance clubs. The Office of International Exchange plans to actively support these international student club activities to continuously provide a platform for students of diverse nationalities to enjoy and participate together.
