Expectations for Traffic Congestion Relief in Residential and Commercial Areas around Baegam-ri
On the 18th, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do announced the opening of the urban planning road (So1-2) in the area of 365-6, Baegam-ri, Baegam-myeon.
The area around this road, adjacent to the old Baegam Terminal, is a densely populated residential and commercial district, and experiences traffic congestion due to increased vehicles on the days when the traditional Baegam 5-day Market is held.

The newly constructed road is a 220m long, 10m wide, two-lane road with sidewalks on both sides. Cheoin-gu completed the road after six years of design and compensation work starting in 2018. The total project cost was 3.8 billion KRW.
