Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) has been honored as the Best Institution (1st place in the province) in the comprehensive evaluation of the '6th Jeollanam-do Dasan Safety Award.'
According to Hwasun-gun on the 14th, the Dasan Safety Award has been implemented by Jeollanam-do since 2018 to reflect on the benevolent philosophy of disaster prevention, response, and safety emphasized by Dasan Jeong Yak-yong in the Mokminsimseo, and to establish a safety culture.
In the city and county category, the award-winning institutions are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of ▲Safety Culture Movement ▲Safety Korea Training ▲Disaster Management ▲Disaster Prevention Projects. Hwasun-gun received high evaluations in each field and won first place in Jeollanam-do.
In particular, last year, Hwasun-gun received high praise in safety culture movements such as various support projects targeting vulnerable groups, including providing heatwave prevention supplies and life-saving towels (evacuation masks), monthly safety promotion campaigns, and visiting safety education.
