Gwangju Seo-gu Signs MOU to Create Jobs for Multicultural Immigrant Women

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) has joined forces with the private sector, government, and academia to build a warm and happy community.

On the 13th, Seo-gu announced that it signed a business agreement with the preliminary social enterprise Beautiful Imagination Co., Ltd. (CEO Seon Sukhyeon), Seo-gu Family Center (Director Yoon Hyekyung), Honam University Department of Beauty and Cosmetology (Professor Jeon Hyunjin), and Nambu University Department of Cosmetic Beauty (Professors Park Cheolho and Yoo Minjung) to create stable jobs for multicultural immigrant women.

On this day, Seo-gu and each institution promised to open high-quality educational programs so that multicultural immigrant women can build successful careers as professionals in the beauty field, and to continuously support certification acquisition, employment, and entrepreneurship.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲ professional education in the beauty field for multicultural immigrant women ▲ support for employment and entrepreneurship in the beauty field ▲ sharing of information and resources for workforce development ▲ mutual cooperation to create Seo-gu as a kind city of sharing and solidarity.

Seo-gu plans to actively support the employment and entrepreneurship of multicultural immigrant women through the Seo-gu Startup Center and Seo-gu Job Center in the future.

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, “We want to walk together with one heart so that the interest of multicultural immigrant women who want to learn K-Beauty, which is rapidly rising worldwide, can lead to happy jobs,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create local jobs so that immigrant women can grow together as members of the community.”
