The ‘Mid-sized Enterprise CFO Forum’ is a platform to discuss improvement strategies for financial and tax systems, which are the growth foundations of mid-sized enterprises, and to share insights. It was held over four weeks starting from May 22 at the Samjong KPMG headquarters.
In the first week, Samjong KPMG M&A experts and economic researchers introduced M&A trends and recent cases related to mid-sized enterprises. The second week covered changes in internal accounting control regulations and accounting issues related to virtual assets. The third week explained tax law amendments and tax issues, highlighting taxation concerns in transactions with related parties and overseas subsidiaries. The final week introduced the inheritance and gift tax system, tax support measures related to business succession, and actual succession cases of companies.
Sixteen mid-sized enterprises participated in this forum, and the graduates will join the ‘Mid-sized Enterprise CFO Council’ to continuously engage in policy improvement efforts.
Kim Kwang-seok, Head of the Mid-sized Enterprise Growth Support Center at Samjong KPMG, said, “We hope that various measures for improving financial and tax support policies as a growth foundation for mid-sized enterprises were discussed through this forum,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in helping mid-sized enterprises grow healthily and increase corporate value.”
