KCC Participates in the World's Largest Power Semiconductor Exhibition 'PCIM Europe 2024'
Participating Annually Since 2010
Electric Vehicle Drive Components
Exhibition of Advanced Organic and Inorganic Materials for Power Modules
KCC announced on the 12th that it participated in 'PCIM Europe 2024,' the world's largest power semiconductor exhibition held in Germany.
The exhibition, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from June 11 to 13, saw KCC showcase advanced organic and inorganic materials for electric vehicle drive components and power modules, one of the future core industries, along with silicon materials from global silicon company Momentive, presenting a total solution for power semiconductor materials.
At this exhibition, KCC introduced the AMB ceramic substrate, which boasts excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance. This product is gaining attention as demand for highly efficient power module semiconductors increases with the expansion of the high-performance electric vehicle industry. KCC expects to attract significant interest from leading global semiconductor companies such as Infineon and ON Semiconductor, as well as automotive parts companies like Valeo, Visteon, and Bosch.
Additionally, KCC introduced various inorganic material products, including DCB ceramic substrates applicable to industrial power module semiconductors and ceramic materials for automotive parts. In particular, EMC (semiconductor protective materials) for electric vehicle power modules drew attention. KCC showcased EMCs for memory semiconductors, system IC semiconductors, and power semiconductors.
At this year's exhibition, KCC and its subsidiary Momentive jointly presented solutions for the power semiconductor market, realizing synergy effects. Momentive is a high-performance, high-function silicon specialized solutions company.
Following this exhibition, Momentive will also participate in 'The Battery Show' held in Stuttgart, Germany, from June 18 to 20, where it will showcase its silicon products alongside KCC's total solutions for power semiconductor and power module materials.
