Geochang County Recruiting Companies for This Year's Serious Accident Prevention Consulting
Support for Establishing Safety and Health Management Systems at Three Workplaces with More Than Five Employees
Geochang County, Gyeongnam Province, is accepting applications from companies wishing to participate in the 2024 Serious Accident Prevention Consulting Support Project until the 20th.
This prevention consulting project provides up to five free on-site consultations for small private businesses that are struggling to establish a safety and health management system, following the full implementation of the Serious Accident Punishment Act for workplaces with five or more employees from January 27 this year. The consulting is conducted by safety management professional organizations designated and announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Rather than simple counseling or guidance and inspection, the program offers customized manuals, including the preparation of seven key documents for establishing a safety and health management system applicable to the workplace, identification and improvement measures for hazardous and risk factors in the workplace, and more.
The recruitment target is three workplaces within the jurisdiction with five or more but fewer than fifty regular employees. Companies wishing to participate can apply in person, by mail, fax, or email to the Safety Management Division of Geochang County.
County Governor Koo Inmo said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for small and micro businesses that are having difficulties establishing and implementing safety and health management systems to receive expert assistance and workplace-specific safety management diagnosis, enabling them to respond to the Serious Accident Punishment Act," and added, "We ask for the active participation of private businesses with five or more employees in the county."
