Dong-A University Engages in International Exchange with Chiang Mai University Delegation from Thailand
High Hopes for Collaboration in Bio Sector with Prestigious Thai Universities
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) discussed ways to promote international exchange with a visiting delegation from Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
Chiang Mai University is a prestigious national university in Thailand with 20 colleges, including the College of Medicine, College of Engineering, and College of Business Administration, and has more than 38,000 enrolled students.
The Chiang Mai University delegation included President Dr. Pongruk Srinanditmongkol, Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Bannakij Lojanapiwat, and Associate Prof. Prapan Jutavijittum, Head of the Korea-Thailand Infectious Disease Research Center.
Dong-A University was represented by Vice President Kang Daeseong, Director of International Affairs Park Hyuntae, Director of Academic Affairs Jeon Mira, Director of Admissions Shin Sangmun, Head of Startup Support Center Choi Jeongju, and staff from the Office of International Exchange, who welcomed the Chiang Mai University delegation.
The Chiang Mai University delegation toured the Seunghak Campus Library and the High-Performance Valve Technology Support Center at Dong-A University, and discussed ways to promote exchange in related fields.
A representative from Chiang Mai University stated, "There is much to learn from Dong-A University, which generates revenue and conducts research activities through standard certification. If our two universities cooperate in the bio field, where both have strengths, we expect to create research synergy in areas such as blood flow valves."
