Gwangju Seo-gu Selects 12 Additional Thank-You Gifts for Hometown Love Donation Program
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 10th that it has selected 12 additional hometown love donation return gifts and signed business agreements with six new suppliers.
The newly added return gifts include ▲Kimchi set (Unrimga Kimchi) ▲Germinated brown rice set (Seochang Farmers) ▲Apple set (Gaon Fresh) ▲Wheat noodle soup made from domestic wheat (Healthy Domestic Wheat Store) ▲Black garlic juice (Gwangju Regional Self-Support Center Health & Juice) ▲Kim gift set (Gwangju Regional Self-Support Center Naechingu Kim) ▲Garlic pork ribs (Hwangsolchon) ▲Probiotic and snack set (Bio Seed Cooperative) ▲Korean beef gomtang, Korean beef bone soup, Korean beef and pork tteokgalbi set (Matdan) ▲Honey (Gwangmin), thereby expanding Seo-gu’s hometown love donation return gifts from the existing 16 to 28.
According to the agreement, Seo-gu plans to register the return gifts on the Hometown Love e-um site and seek ways to promote mutual growth with the suppliers in the future.
Additionally, using the hometown love donations collected last year, Seo-gu plans to promote projects related to supporting socially vulnerable groups, supporting small business owners, and improving residents’ welfare, including the wheat noodle soup project.
Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu said, “To repay the donors who sent warm hearts to Seo-gu, we will continuously discover various return gifts of excellent quality and strive to ensure that the precious donations are used for projects that practically benefit the residents.”
Meanwhile, the hometown love donation system allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their place of residence. Donors can receive return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount, a full tax credit for donations up to 100,000 KRW, and a 16.5% tax credit on the amount exceeding 100,000 KRW.
