Busan City to Recruit New 'YouTube Creator' for Official YouTube Channel
Grade 7 General Term Public Official: One-Person Creator Tasks Including Content Planning, Production, Appearance, and Direction
"We are looking for talented individuals with creative planning skills and charisma to lead the latest YouTube trends!"
Busan Metropolitan City is recruiting new 'YouTube Creators' who will bring fresh changes to the city's official YouTube channel, 'BusanTube'.
Considering the characteristics of the YouTube platform, where one-person creator content is mainstream, the city will hire individuals with the qualities of a one-person creator.
This recruitment aims to promote more innovative and unique city government content, as public interest in local government YouTube channels has surged along with the rapid increase in YouTube users.
Especially since this is the city's first attempt to hire YouTube creators, it plans to use this opportunity to bring a wave of new changes in citizen communication.
The newly hired 'YouTube Creator' will be appointed as a Level 7 General Fixed-term Public Official and will be responsible for one-person creator content for the city's official YouTube channel.
Based on an understanding of how the YouTube platform works and experience and knowledge in video production, the creator will plan and produce content directly, as well as appear in and direct the content themselves.
The appointment period is one year from the date of hiring, and it may be extended for up to five years if the project continues.
Qualifications include: ▲ At least one year of relevant work experience after obtaining a bachelor's degree ▲ At least three years of relevant work experience ▲ At least two years of relevant work experience as a Level 8 or higher public official.
Preferred qualifications include: ▲ A degree from a department related to video media, broadcasting, or advertising and public relations that is recognized as relevant to the main duties ▲ Submission of a portfolio containing up to three video works that the applicant has produced and appeared in within the past two years.
The application period is from June 19 to 21, with document screening scheduled from June 26 to 27, and interviews from July 9 to 11.
Details regarding the application form and other specifics can be found in the city's public servant recruitment announcement on the city website. For further inquiries, please contact the city's Human Resources Division (Talent Recruitment Team).
