Simmons Bed Signs Resource Circulation Business Agreement with Icheon City
On the 7th, Simmons announced that it has signed a resource circulation business agreement with Icheon City to promote a circular economy society.
Simmons is one of the representative companies of Icheon, with the ‘Simmons Factorium’?which includes production facilities and a sleep research R&D center located in the Moga-myeon area of Icheon?and the ‘Simmons Terrace,’ a complex cultural space serving as an ESG hub.

View original imageThe signing ceremony, held on the 5th along the Bokhacheon area in Icheon City, was attended by about 200 people, including Lee Jong-sung, Vice President of Simmons Production and Logistics Strategy Division, Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, key officials from both organizations, and members of local environmental civic groups.
Through this agreement, Simmons and Icheon City pledged to minimize waste generation and collaborate with public institutions within the jurisdiction to promote waste recycling activities, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable circular economy society.
After the agreement signing, employees from both sides and members of environmental civic groups donated used goods and participated in activities such as picking up trash and throwing ‘EM (Effective Microorganisms) soil balls’ to improve the water quality of Bokhacheon and restore the soil.
Vice President Lee Jong-sung said, “On Environment Day, I feel especially meaningful to make a commitment with Icheon City to protect the environment and pursue a sustainable future,” adding, “Simmons will continue to do its best as an ESG leading company for the development of the local community and future generations.”
