Muan Police Station Promotes Crime Prevention Activities in Muan Area for Foreigner Safety
Successful Launch Ceremony of the Foreign Security Volunteer Group at Chodang University
The Muan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Kang Yong-jun) announced on the 5th that it recently held a launching ceremony for the Chodang University Foreign Security Volunteer Group, consisting of 26 members from two countries, Vietnam and China.
The event, held on the 4th at the 4th-floor conference room of Muan Police Station, plans for the foreign security volunteer group to actively collaborate with the Muan Police to prevent crime in the Muan area.
This launching ceremony was held to help students who have overcome hardships and come from abroad to live safely in Korea.

The Chodang University Foreign Security Volunteer Group plans to contribute to the local community by conducting crime prevention activities on campus and patrolling crime-prone areas once a month together with the Muan Police.
Additionally, they plan to establish a new system to support crime victim counseling through various channels such as SNS.
Mr. Dong Mo, the head of the security volunteer group from Vietnam, said, “Although we face many difficulties overcoming unfamiliar environments and cultural differences due to studying abroad, through these security volunteer activities, we will take the lead in helping foreigners safely adapt to Korean society together with the Muan Police.”
Following the launching ceremony, the Muan Police cooperated with the foreign security volunteer group to conduct patrols in crime-prone areas and promote security policies.
The Muan Police Station is striving to strengthen cooperation with foreigners to prevent crime in the area and create a safe environment.
