Ulsan City to Host 'Ulsan K-pop Festival' This Year

Ulsan City is hosting the 'Ulsan K-pop Festival' to support the dreams of aspiring K-pop singers.
The 'Ulsan K-pop Festival' began last year to provide Ulsan's aspiring K-pop artists with professional training opportunities from renowned producers and to promote Ulsan as a K-pop cultural city through ongoing events.
This year, the second round of auditions for the K-pop Academy will be held on July 6 at the Ulsan MBC Open Hall, selecting a total of 12 teams?6 teams for dance and 6 teams for singing.
The 12 teams selected in the preliminary round will undergo intensive training for four weeks from July 13 to August 4, after which a total of 8 teams?4 for dance and 4 for singing?will be chosen as the final participants.
The final 8 teams will participate in group training, receive additional training, perform street performances, and have the opportunity to attend MBC Show! Music Core.
Additionally, at the K-pop Festival, the two winning teams selected through on-site evaluation will perform with idols and have music videos produced for them. Notably, the entire process will be made into a growth documentary and broadcast on MBC.
Any youth in Ulsan who loves K-pop, from elementary school students up to 24 years old, can apply. Applications can be submitted via QR code until June 29.

An official from Ulsan City stated, "Through this event, we hope that the youth, who are the next generation of Ulsan, and citizens can experience various cultures together and create memories and opportunities for growth. We ask for your interest and participation."
