Icheon City "Apply for Children's and Youth Transportation Expense Support"
Support up to 240,000 KRW annually
On the 4th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is currently accepting applications for the 2nd quarter of the 'Gyeonggi-do Children and Youth Transportation Expense Support Project' for children and youth using public transportation.
This project reimburses 100% of the actual public transportation expenses in the metropolitan area up to 60,000 KRW per quarter and a maximum of 240,000 KRW per year to children and youth aged 6 to 18 residing in Gyeonggi-do, through local currency or bank transfer.
In the case of Icheon City, approximately 32,000 children and youth are eligible for the project. Support can be applied for through the 'Gyeonggi-do Children and Youth Transportation Expense Support' program. Once applied for the first time, applications are automatically made through the 4th quarter, and support funds are calculated from the quarter in which the application was submitted. Retroactive support by quarter is not possible.
