View original imageAt around 12:40 PM on the 2nd, an accident presumed to be caused by a burst water pipe occurred at the five-way intersection in Gongdeok-dong, Mapo-gu, resulting in the closure of a three-lane road.
However, it has been reported that delayed response from the Western Waterworks Office caused traffic paralysis and widespread confusion in the area.
As a result, nearby residents and passing traffic are experiencing inconvenience, highlighting the need for a prompt response.
The Western Waterworks Office arrived at around 1:50 PM and began identifying the cause and restoration work using heavy machinery and excavators from 2:20 PM.
Park Gang-su, the mayor of Mapo-gu, visited the accident site to assess the situation and sent disaster alert messages about the traffic chaos in the area, ordering the activation of a hotline.
