Ulleung County Holds AIDS Prevention Education
Public Health Center and Korea Association for AIDS Prevention Provide Education for Students and Soldiers
Ulleung County Public Health Medical Center and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Association for AIDS Prevention conducted AIDS prevention education for middle schools, high schools, and military units in Ulleung County over two days from the 30th to the 31st.
This program was organized to raise awareness about AIDS and to educate participants on prevention and management methods. In particular, the goal was to provide young people and military personnel with accurate information about AIDS and help them establish healthy sexual values.
HIV prevention education is being conducted for military personnel within Ulleung County.
View original imageTailored explanations and various case studies were provided to suit the characteristics of students and soldiers, allowing them to learn practical ways to respond in real-life situations. After the lecture, a Q&A session was held, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from experts.
Kim Youngheon, director of Ulleung County Public Health Medical Center, said, "I hope that through this education, students and soldiers will gain accurate information about AIDS and develop proper prevention habits."
A representative from the Korea Association for AIDS Prevention stated, "We will continue our efforts to prevent the spread of AIDS and improve social awareness of those living with HIV through ongoing education and promotional activities."
Ulleung County Public Health Medical Center and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Association for AIDS Prevention plan to continue their cooperation and develop various programs to improve the health and welfare of local residents.
