This coastal cleanup activity was held to commemorate Sea Day. About 100 participants, including local residents, volunteers, and environmental organizations, joined forces to create a clean and pristine Gyeonggi Sea.
On the day, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation collected and gathered approximately 1 ton of marine debris near Jeongok Port.
In addition to the coastal cleanup, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is carrying out various environmental protection activities. In particular, it is practicing zero use of disposable products to reduce carbon emissions during project operations.
At the Gyeonggi-do Job Fair held on the 28th, the use of disposable items such as disposable cups and plastic straws was completely banned, reducing waste generated and used at the event by about 100 kg.
In January, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation announced a ‘Disposable Products Zero Declaration Ceremony,’ banning all disposable products within its office building and committing to hold events without disposable items.
