AI Reproduction of Park Mokwol's Voice and 'Nangsong Listening Zone'
Starfield announced on the 31st that it will hold the event "Luck Met at Byeolmadang" until the 29th of next month to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the opening of the Byeolmadang Library in COEX Mall.
Over the past seven years, Byeolmadang Library has offered a wide range of cultural arts beyond books, including intellectual play as well as literature, art, and music, with more than 600 lectures and over 160 performances, providing diverse inspiration and emotion beyond books. Since 2019, it has also taken the lead in revitalizing the cultural and artistic community by hosting the "Open Art Contest" to support emerging artists.
For this 7th anniversary event, a special exhibition of unpublished poems by Park Mokwol, a leading figure of the "Cheongnokpa" who lyrically sang the beauty of nature, titled "Moments Woven with Poems," will be held. Among 166 unpublished handwritten poems by Park Mokwol, 17 poems were carefully selected, covering five themes: daily life and the poet's life, people and innocence, faith, family, and nature, allowing visitors to empathize with the poet's life, emotions, and philosophy on objects and situations. Along with this, a recitation listening zone reproducing Park Mokwol's voice using AI has also been prepared.
On the 31st, Park Donggyu, the eldest son of Park Mokwol and honorary professor of Korean literature at Seoul National University, will give a special lecture discussing the life of the poet and father, Park Mokwol. On the following day, the 1st, a "Poem Concert" will be held where attendees can enjoy recitations of Park Mokwol's poems along with soothing classical music.
