"Tteoktwi-o Flavor Included"... Emart24, 'Serious About Gimbap', Sales Soar 30%
Introducing Various Flavored Gimbap
Unique Lunchboxes and Refrigerated Side Dishes Also Released
Emart24 is strengthening its gimbap product line to enhance the competitiveness of its ready-to-eat meal offerings.
Emart24 has introduced a variety of gimbap products with unique flavors and forms not seen before this year, including Fried Fish Cake Tteokbokki-flavored Gimbap, Bite-sized Mini Gimbap, Soy Sauce Seasoned Spicy Gimbap, Baseball Stadium California Roll, and Osam Bulgogi Gimbap. They also launched the 2,200 KRW 'Himnae-yong Gimbap,' which maximizes cost-effectiveness.
By continuously introducing differentiated gimbap products, sales in the gimbap category have significantly increased. From January to April this year, sales of gimbap products rose by 31% compared to the previous year, showing the highest growth rate among ready-to-eat meal categories. It is analyzed that demand has grown because meals can be completed at prices ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 KRW, and even when paired with cup noodles, a hearty meal is available for under 5,000 KRW.
Last month, Emart24 participated in the 'Gimbap Competition' at the Sinan-gun World Gimbap Festa. Emart plans to launch a convenience store-appropriate gimbap product in the second half of the year, inspired by the 'Sinan Popeye Tot Gimbap,' which won the 'Emart24 Special Award' at the competition.
Emart24 is also leading the way in launching unique ready-to-eat meals. The recently introduced 'Bitcoin Dosirak' sold out early within 10 days of releasing the prepared 30,000 units, receiving great customer response. The Bitcoin Dosirak includes a coupon that allows customers who purchase the 5,900 KRW lunchbox to receive Bitcoin worth up to 30,000 KRW.
