"Let's Join Forces for Anti-Corruption and Integrity"... Auditors from Four Public Institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Discuss Joint Declaration and Cooperation
Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Standing Auditor Seeks to Strengthen Audit Capabilities
The Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service held an anti-corruption and integrity practice council on the 29th together with auditors from four public institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
At this council, auditors and audit office directors from public institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, including the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and the Construction Workers’ Mutual Aid Association, participated to discuss the declaration of anti-corruption and integrity practice and operational plans for strengthening audit capabilities. They also pledged to continue joint anti-corruption and integrity activities in the future.
The anti-corruption and integrity practice declaration includes the following agreements among auditors of public institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor: ▲ Preventing and eradicating corruption through the sharing and expansion of anti-corruption and integrity activities ▲ Taking the initiative in fair audit activities and establishing a culture of integrity within organizations ▲ Prohibiting improper demands and establishing a sound organizational culture ▲ Efforts to improve audit quality by enhancing auditors’ expertise.
Kim Daewon, Standing Auditor of the Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service, said, “Through the anti-corruption and integrity practice declaration by public institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, we expect to greatly contribute to creating a fair and transparent public service culture that earns the trust of the people.”

Auditor Kim also emphasized, “Going forward, auditors from public institutions under the Ministry of Employment and Labor will continue to join forces and actively exchange for anti-corruption and integrity activities and the strengthening of audit capabilities, thereby steadfastly fulfilling the social responsibilities of public institutions.”
