Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station, Joint Fire Drill for Kindergartens
On the 29th, the Northern Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City conducted a joint fire drill for teachers and kindergarten students at Shin-yong Kindergarten in the district.
This drill focused on rapid situation dissemination and evacuation of people by cultivating the initial fire response capabilities of related personnel, assuming a disaster situation.
About 150 participants, including five fire trucks and firefighters, took part. The drill was conducted under the assumption of a fire of unknown cause inside the second floor of the kindergarten, with toxic gas generation and fire spread posing a risk to human life.
The drill proceeded in the following order: ▲ Dispatch to the scene assuming a fire occurrence ▲ Initial fire suppression and evacuation guidance by the self-defense fire brigade ▲ Fire suppression and rescue activities by dispatched firefighters ▲ Instructions on the use of fire extinguishers and indoor fire hydrants ▲ Conclusion of the drill and debriefing.
