Promoting Korean Culture Through Foreign Opinion Leaders
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism 'Taste, Style, Rest: Five Senses Satisfaction K-Culture'
Visits to Inje Mountain Village, Sancheong Donguibogam Village, and More
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the International Broadcasting Exchange Foundation will hold ‘Taste, Style, Rest: A Five-Sense Satisfaction K-Culture’ in six sessions starting from the 29th. It is a Korean cultural experience program provided to foreigners residing in Korea.
This year, the program aims to spread a positive image of Korea to influential opinion leaders. These include embassy and international organization workers, media personnel, content influencers, and foreign journalists.
The program was designed based on feedback from foreigners. Participants will visit mountain villages such as Hachuri in Inje, the Naju Korea Natural Dyeing Museum, and Donguibogam Village in Sancheong to experience mountain village cuisine, natural dyeing, and traditional Korean medicine. They will also visit various ‘pop-up stores’ operated by companies. These include the Sa-il Bakery pop-up store, the setting of the drama ‘Samsik Uncle,’ the Ader Error complex experience exhibition space, the Dr.G and movie ‘Inside Out 2’ collaboration store, and the variety show ‘New Product Launch Ppongstorang’ pop-up store.
Mustak Majid, a Pakistani international student who provides information about Korea to foreign students, said, “I want to experience the pop-up stores I have been interested in and share them with my subscribers.” Nandini, an Indian student who creates and shares content about her life studying in Korea, said, “I want to spread Korean culture to other international students.”
