Imocog Selected as 'Super Gap Startup 1000+'... "Actively Exploring Overseas Expansion"
Digital healthcare startup Imocog announced on the 27th that it has been selected for the ‘Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project’ organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development. The Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project is a program that selects outstanding deep-tech startups and provides focused support to nurture global unicorns by 2027.
With this selection, Imocog will receive approximately 600 million KRW in research and development (R&D) and commercialization funds over the next three years. Based on this, the company plans to actively pursue overseas regulatory approvals and investment attraction.
Imocog is developing dementia solutions covering the entire cycle from prevention to diagnosis and treatment, aiming to innovate dementia care. Cogthera, a software medical device (SaMD) designed to improve memory decline, was the first digital therapeutic device (DTx) for mild cognitive impairment to receive approval for a confirmatory clinical trial plan.
Since its early days, Imocog has also focused on entering overseas markets. Within one year of its founding, it established a branch in Germany to lay the groundwork, and earlier this year, the global version of Cogthera obtained the CE MDR mark from the European Union, establishing a foundation to sell products in the European market and countries based on CE certification. Going forward, the company plans to conduct large-scale clinical trials aiming to enter Germany’s DTx reimbursement system (DiGA).
