Musk's SpaceX Valuation at 274 Trillion Won... Public Tender Offer Next Month
Market Cap Comparable to World's Largest Listed Companies
Traded Only Over-the-Counter as an Unlisted Company
Bloomberg reported on the 23rd (local time) that SpaceX, the space company led by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has been valued at $200 billion (approximately 274 trillion KRW).
SpaceX is currently discussing a stock tender offer next month, and according to sources, the stock price is being negotiated between $108 and $110. This values the company at $200 billion. Since the specific terms have not yet been finalized, they may change.
Previously, in a tender offer last December, SpaceX sold shares at $97 per share, valuing the company at $180 billion (approximately 247 trillion KRW). Bloomberg explained that if SpaceX is recognized with a $200 billion valuation, it would be on par with the world's largest publicly traded companies by market capitalization. However, SpaceX is a privately held company, and its shares are only traded over-the-counter.
