Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) announced on the 24th that Jang Nara, a sophomore in the Department of Artificial Intelligence, received a commendation from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office at the '59th Invention Day Ceremony' hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association.
Jang Nara was awarded the Korea Talent Award in 2021 for her inventions that have contributed to society and also filed a patent for the 'Sound-emitting Safety Light Baton Flag.'
She also received the Minister of Education Award, the highest honor, at the 32nd and 33rd Korea Student Invention Exhibitions for her inventions related to traffic safety, such as the 'Speed Reducer Using Gobo Light and Alarm,' and was selected as an awardee in recognition of her outstanding achievements in various competitions organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
Jang said, "I feel proud that my inventions so far have been recognized for contributing to traffic safety and the protection of lives. I hope to expand the field of invention through more research and effort in the future."

The Invention Day Ceremony has been held annually since 1957 to raise public awareness of the importance of invention and to express gratitude to inventors who have contributed to national industrial development by awarding those who have made outstanding contributions to invention.
