Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Inspects Ahyeon Market Pedestrian Road Paving Improvement Site
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited Ahyeon Market on the afternoon of the 23rd, where pedestrian walkway paving improvement work is underway.
Until now, Ahyeon Market has been in urgent need of environmental improvements due to the aging of facilities such as pedestrian walkways and roof canopies. Accordingly, Mapo District secured special grants and is prioritizing paving the pedestrian walkways of Ahyeon Market with asphalt concrete and painting them with anti-slip paint for safety.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su inspected some of the newly renovated pedestrian walkways at Ahyeon Market and carefully examined the facilities used by market visitors.
Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I hope the pedestrian walkway improvement project at Ahyeon Market will serve as an opportunity not only for environmental improvement but also for revitalizing the commercial district,” adding, “Mapo District will continue to communicate with merchants and identify areas for improvement to promote the development of traditional markets.”
