Nokdong Sea Fireworks Festival to Open at Nokdong Port on the 30th

700 Drones and Multimedia Fireworks Embellish the Night Sky

The 22nd Nokdong Sea Fireworks Festival will be held for four days from May 30 to June 2 in the Nokdong Port area of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, under the theme "The Spark of Beginning, Challenge, Dream, and Hope."

The Nokdong Sea Fireworks Festival, hosted and organized by the Nokdong Junior Chamber and Nokdong JC Alumni Association, is celebrating its 22nd year this year. It was established to commemorate the beauty of the Nokdong Port area, the center of Goheung tourism, and to remember the bittersweet history and pain of Sorokdo Island.

In particular, this year’s festival will feature a multimedia fireworks show combined with 700 drones wishing for a world of coexistence in the world of light, brilliantly decorating the night sky over Nokdong Port and Sorokdo Island.

Additionally, the opening ceremony will welcome tourists with unique and diverse events such as ▲ Dragon’s Ascension ▲ Popular singer congratulatory performances and Trot Show ▲ K-Art Festa (dancing, DJ performances) ▲ YOU & I Festival.

Especially on the third day of the festival, the Goheung-gun Fisheries Cooperative One-Heart Grand Festival will offer ▲ seafood sales market ▲ Nokdong Sea taste tasting event ▲ Fisheries Cooperative peddlers ▲ fish-catching experience, aiming to revitalize the local economy and provide various attractions.

Oh Jeong-cheol, the festival organizing committee chairman, said, “We are preparing a drone show and a unique fireworks show with the story of Sorokdo and Goheung Nokdong Port, and we will make it a festival where many people come to create beautiful memories.”
