Meeting with Fisheries and Business Industry Workers and Organizations
Mayor Park Hong-ryul Conducts Briefing to Garner Participants' Consensus
Mokpo City (Mayor Park Hong-ryul) held a communication meeting titled "Hopeful Mokpo Story" for workers and organizations related to the fisheries industry and business and commerce sectors.
According to the city on the 23rd, on the 22nd, at the Mokpo Food Culture Gallery Haegwan 1897, a communication session was held targeting workers and organizations leading Mokpo's economy in the fisheries and business and commerce sectors to share the main directions of city administration, receive constructive proposals, and listen to difficulties in each field.
Divided into morning and afternoon sessions, this communication meeting received a total of 13 suggestions and inquiries, including 12 issues related to difficulties by industry and 1 regarding traffic improvement. Mayor Park Hong-ryul ordered immediate review and handling to resolve these issues for the development of each industry.
In particular, Mayor Park personally conducted a briefing on the city's major policies, eliciting empathy from the attendees.
The mayor passionately explained Mokpo's efforts to attract a medical school, the city's biggest current issue, and its ambition to leap forward as a center of the domestic eco-friendly energy industry through fostering the offshore wind power industry.
Members of each organization who visited the event expressed great expectations for the future development of Mokpo and sympathy for the city administration, impressed by Mayor Park Hong-ryul's candid and passionate demeanor.
